Cascade Cup Rocks Portland
Over 40 GLBT softball teams from all over the West Coast descended on Portland Oregon this past weekend for the Cascade Cup tournament.
The tournament is organized by the Rose City Softball Association, Oregon’s largest gay sports league. Teams from Vancouver BC, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix joined teams from the host city in round robin and double elimination play.
There were winners at four levels of play:
Women’s Division: Rough Riders (Portland)
Open D Division: Frontiers (Los Angeles)
Open C Division: Bulldogs (Seattle)
Open B Division: Vendetta (Seattle)
The Cascade Cup takes on special significance this year because it is tune up for the Gay World Series, held in Seattle at the end of August.
